SPICY BASILICIOUS RICE

INGREDIENTS

Serving for 4:

  • 200g Aftermeats Minced

  • 6 cups cooked Jasmine rice

  • 2 cup Thai basil leaves

  • 14 oz pan-fried tofu cubes

  • 2 small onion sliced

  • 6 garlic cloves

  • 4 Thai chiles

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons vegan oyster sauce

  • 2 tablespoon vegan fish sauce

  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

PREPARATION

  1. Prepare Aftermeats Minced according to package instructions and set aside. 

  2. To make the sauce, whisk together oyster sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar in a bowl until well-combined.

  3. Next, pound or crush garlic cloves and chili.

  4. Heat a large wok or non-stick skillet. Add a tablespoon of oil.

  5. Sauté onion for a minute or two or until slightly soft.

  6. Add the garlic and chili and stir-fry for a few seconds.

  7. Once the garlic is fragrant, add Aftermeats Minced and toss for a few more seconds.

  8. Pour in the prepped sauce.

  9. Finally, fold in the Thai basil and cook until the leaves start to wilt a little.

  10. Serve the spicy Aftermeats Minced over a bed of cooked white rice and enjoy!​
